As our Texas weather gets that holiday chill in the air I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.  Tracy Allyn Photography will be closed until January 2nd to spend time with my family... can't wait to get lots of snuggles from my son and husband!  Hope yours is great, too!

So you may have noticed that I have quite a few family and child sessions on my blog.  But I also photograph (and love) high school senior portrait sessions!  And this one was to.die.for!  Madeline is absolutely gorgeous and such a sweet young lady... she made my job easy peasy!   Such a fun afternoon of shooting that ended with us climbing down into a local creek that had the best natural reflectors of rock.  I also love the fact that the creek and trestle bridge were right in her own neighborhood in contrast with the train as a symbol of her journey beginning!  I don't think I could pick a favorite from the whole session... There were too many!  I loved sitting down with Madeline and her beautiful mom, Mona, to put together a print and book order.  Here are some of my favorites from the day!

Madeline, I just adore you and wish you the best of luck at Texas State next year... Go Bobcats!

What can I say... this session incorporated many of my favorite things.  My favorite season, beautiful White Rock Lake, family togetherness, and sweet repeat clients.  I feel so blessed to have seen so many clients from previous sessions back again this year.  Leslie & Matt with little Jonathan, or "J" as they call him, were picture perfect on this morning.  And I love parents who truly understand their kiddo and embrace the stage they are in at this time of their life.  They brought along a fishing pole (minus the hook!) so J could pretend to fish.   We made plenty of "awwwww... he got away" and created lots of excitement for him.  Little ones don't always want to look at the camera in every shot, but then again, I'm not the kind of photographer who wants or needs them to.  We got some beautiful shots and J let us know when he was ready to be finished... love that crying shot!!!
