Luke & Jacob {Dallas Child Photographer}
As I said in the last post, it was a beautiful weekend in Dallas! Sunday evening I spent time with Luke and Jacob at one of my favorite locations to shoot, Turtle Creek. Luke is a classmate of my son's and I was incredibly impressed with his tree climbing abilities and coordination... considering how my son, Campbell, seems to fall all the time! Jacob and Luke hammed it up on one of the bridges, climbed the rocks, waded in the water and even posed for a few shots with their dog, Oreo. I have a feeling they'll be going back to explore and play some more in the near future!
Enjoy your preview, Laurie and Joe!

Cash {Dallas Baby Photographer}
What a beautiful weekend in Dallas! Dare I say fall is on it's way??? I was lucky enough to have two sessions this weekend and guess what... all boys!
Saturday morning I met Jenn and Bill and their oh-so-cute son, Cash. First of all, let me just say what a beautiful house they had. We put Cash in dad's guitar case and we even got a family shot with their dog, Ace... check out how long that tongue is!!! After some shots around the house we headed over to the Dallas Arboretum where Cash could not have looked any cuter in his overalls at the Texas village houses!
He may have been a serious baby but those adorable cheeks won me over... they get me every time!
Enjoy your preview!

Tim & Tammy {Dallas Wedding Photographer}
This summer I had the opportunity to photograph my beautiful friend, Tammy's wedding to Tim. It was an intimate ceremony at their new home together, shared with loved ones. The day started with Tammy getting ready and practicing the very personal vows and poem she would say to Tim just a few short minutes later. It was an emotional moment and I don't mind saying that I was moved to tears as well. Both of them said just the perfect thing to each other! After the ceremony the pastor blessed the house... love that! Then it was on with the gathering of friends, family and loved ones to celebrate the new marriage at the reception.
Tim & Tammy, you are gorgeous together and I wish you a lifetime of happiness!

Simply Sweet! {Dallas Child Photographer}
When Caricia first spoke with me about a portrait session with her daughter, Chloe, I knew EXACTLY where I wanted to shoot! I have been hearing so many great things about Ham's Orchard in Terrell, Texas from my friend & neighbor, Ninotchka, and all I could think of was sweet juicy peaches and ice cream dripping down Chloe's little chin!
Our morning started out with a walk in the blackberry patch... and although there wasn't much we did manage to find a few for Chloe to pick. Getting her to taste them was a totally different story! But she did love holding onto them.
After that we headed indoors where Chloe was like a kid in a candy store! She helped herself to tomatoes and peaches and even found a lollipop tree where she picked two lollipops! You see, Caricia said Chloe has a thing about twos. Hey... nothing wrong with that! The more the merrier when it comes to lollipops as far as I'm concerned! We took some cute images inside, bought peaches and tomatoes, and grabbed two ice cream cones. In the end, she was mostly a fan of the peaches and lollipops and we all had a great time!
It was a simply sweet session with a simply sweet little girl! Enjoy your preview, Caricia!

Dog Days of Summer {Personal Photography}
It's summer in Texas... it's hot. Today it is 106 outside. I have lived here my whole life... someday I swear I am moving to San Diego! Until then... I'll try to stay cool inside. Hope you are doing the same!
My dog, Chloe, was doing her usual lounging around. Her day consists of sleeping and barking at the mailman. Must be nice to be so relaxed, Chloe! But since I had her cornered I thought I would try out a little fun with my Nikon 135mm F2 DC lens... it is a defocus control (hence the DC) so I experimented with a little rear defocus for this doggy portrait. I think I like it!
Thanks Chloe! Keep cool!
